As most of you have probably noticed, the brilliant Julia Cook is scheduled to come this weekend and visit our school, interact with our kids, train our teachers and participate in a fundraiser all in support of the Cloverleaf School. We could not feel more blessed and excited. In the world of serving our kids, it’s amazing what people will do to support you. Julia Cook not only supports us, we support her- In her vision, her work and her mission- “In order to teach a child, you must enter their view of the world.” – Julia Cook. If you don’t already know, here is a little bit about Julia.
Julia Cook was born and raised in Salt Lake City Utah. While living in Utah, she became actively involved in teaching children how to ski. That experience led to a love of teaching in general. Julia now lives in Fremont, Nebraska. She has a Master’s degree in Elementary School Counseling. While serving as a guidance counselor, Julia often used children’s books to enhance her classroom lessons. She is now well-recognized as a national award-winning children’s book author and parenting expert. Julia has presented in over 700 schools across the country, regularly delivers keynote addresses at national education and counseling conferences, and has 36 published children’s books. The goal behind all of Julia’s books and efforts is to actively involve young people into her fun and creative stories and teach them to become life-long problem solvers. Inspirations for her books come from working with children and carefully listening to parents and teachers. Julia’s books have been referenced in such publications as Parent’s Magazine, The New Yorker, Green Child Magazine, The Huffington Post, The Chicago Tribune, Yahoo.com, dr.laura.com and babyzone.com has. She has also been featured on CNN’s HLN News, and several large metropolitan networks. In her spare time, Julia enjoys spending time with her husband and family.

She writes quality children’s books, inspires us to teach the social skills needed to be confident and successful and gives us hope for the future.
On October 27, Julia and The Cloverleaf School will be holding a fundraiser book signing event at the Barnes and Noble in Edgewood from 1 to 3pm. Julia will be doing a reading, book signing and a parent strategy session to help support the Atlanta community. Her books will be for sale and a percentage of all purchases that day will go towards our school, both online and in-store. Some of her titles include:
