At the Cloverleaf School, we recognize that every student has an individual learning style, and that students learn through a variety of modalities: visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and sensory-tactile. In today’s age of technology, I’m always looking for new ways to engage students through multimedia as well. For example, Research shows that music can activate our memory— a theory my math class recently put to the test as we tackled the times tables! On our Cloverleaf Youtube Channel, I’ve curated a collection of clips we used in class for teaching the multiplication facts. Students fell in love with the NumBears and Schoolhouse Rock — so much so, in fact, that they even chose to share the videos at home with their families! Have a look at two of their favorites:
