Check out these articles on the benefits of hiking and exercise as a whole. They emphasize the importance of our commitment to ample physical activity for our kids. Not only does hiking improve cardiovascular health, lower the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, and improve sleep, it can specifically benefit children with neurological differences. For example, evidence shows that kids with ADHD who exercise regularly can improve their focus, planning abilities, and emotional/behavioral regulation.
